New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will put the foundation stone for four five-part lanings from Shri Sant Dnyaneshawar Maghi Marg (NH-965) and three parts of Shri Sant Tukaraam Magar Palkhi Marg (NH-965G) through video conferencing Monday.
This development was designed to facilitate pilgrims to Pandharpur, a city related to Sant Tamaram and Sant Dnyaneshawar.
The dedicated path for ‘Palkhi’ (Palanquin) will be built on both sides of this national highway, providing a hassle and safe for worshipers, the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.
Around 221 km from Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg from Dageol to Mohol and about 130 km from Sant Uaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg from Pata to Tondale-Bondale will be four lanes with an estimated cost of more than Rs 6690 Crore and around Rs 4400 Crore, respectively, respectively It said.
Modi will also “dedicate to the nation” more than 223 km of road projects that have been completed and improved, built with an estimated cost of more than Rs 1180 Crore on various national highways to increase connectivity to Pandharpur.
These projects include the construction carried out on Mhaswad – Piliv – Pancharpur (NH 548E), Kurduwadi – Pandharpur (NH 965C), Pandharpur – Sangola (NH 965C), Pandarpur Tempharpur from NH 561A, and Pandharpur – Mangalwedha – Part of Umadi from NH 561a.
