Lucknow: The upper government on Sunday claims to set a new record when Prime Minister Narendra Modi simultaneously inaugurated nine medical universities during his visit to Siddharthnagar on Monday.
Modi will inaugurate medical colleges named after Seers and Saffron leaders in Siddharthnagar, Deoria, Rethys, Hardoi, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur and Jaunpur.
The chairman of the Yogi Adityanath minister on Sunday took the preparation for the visit of PM Narendra Modi to Siddharthnagar.
He held a review of reviews with officials, checking the venue in the BSA yard and examining medical colleges in Siddharthnagar, which will be named after Jan Sangh Leading Tripathi Madhav Prasad.
While medical colleges in Deoria will be called Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College, which is in Ghazipur will be named after Maharishi Vishwamitra.
Likewise, Mirzapur College will be baptized as Maa Vindhyasini Medical College and Pratapgarh Medical College will be present on behalf of Sonelal Patel, founder of Apna Dal, BJP ally.
Similarly, EFU Medical Universities will be named by Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi while Medical College of Jaunpur will be named after the Minister of the Minister of Umanath Singh.
And college at Fatehpur will be named Amar Shaheed Jodha Singh or.
The step will increase health infrastructure and add more than 300 hospital beds and 900 mbbs seats in one day, said state government spokesman.
“This is in line with the determination of the state government to build medical colleges in all 75 countries,” he said.
The spokesman said, before 2017, there were a dozen medical colleges in the state.
“Rising is the peak of creating records with maximum medical colleges in any Indian country,” he said, adding seven medical colleges had been established between 2017 and 2021.
Fourteen new ones were in the pipe and will be established in Amethi, Auraiya, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Gonda, Kanpur Dehat, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Pilibhit, Sonbhadra and Sultanpur District in 2022-23.
The state government has also cleared the policy and floating tenders to establish medical colleges in PPP models in 16 districts, Paving ways for at least 100 medical colleges in the state.
