PM Modi to Stone Foundation of Noida International Airport on November 25

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh will soon become the only state in India to have five international airports with Prime Minister Narendra Modi Set to put the stone foundation stone Noida International Airport (NIA) on Thursday.
Airport development is in line with the vision of Modi’s prime minister to improve connectivity and create a ready-prepared flight sector, said the Prime Minister (PMO) office in a statement on Tuesday.

Uttar Pradesh is ready to be the only state in India to have five international airports as Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Noida International Airport in the Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, on November 25 at 1pm, PMO said.
The development of the first phase of the airport is being carried out at a cost of more than Rs 10,050 Crore, he said.
Spread more than 1,300 hectares of land, the first phase of the airport that has been completed will have the capacity to serve around 1.2 crore passengers a year and work on it is scheduled to be completed in 2024, he added.
This will be carried out by the International Bidder of Zurich International AG airport as a concession holder.
The basis for the first phase of land acquisition and the rehabilitation of the affected family has been completed, the statement said.
The airport will be the second international airport to come in Delhi-NCR, he noted and added that it would help describe Indira Gandhi International Airport.
It is strategically located and will serve people in cities including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Agra, Faridabad and neighboring areas, he said.
The airport will be the logistics gate of North India and because of its scale and capacity, it will be a game modifier for Uttar Pradesh, the PMO said.
This will release the potential of Uttar Pradesh to the world, and help build countries on global logistics maps, he said.
For the first time, the airport in India has been conceptualized with an integrated multi-capital cargo hub, with a focus on reducing the total cost and time for logistics, the statement said.
Special cargo terminals will have a capacity of 20 lakh metric tons, which will be expanded to 80 lakh metric tons, he added.
By facilitating the movement of seamless industrial products, the airport will play an important role in helping this region withdrawing large investments, increasing rapid industrial growth and allowing the reach of local products to national and international markets, PMO states.
This will bring new opportunities for many companies and also create extraordinary employment opportunities, he said.
The airport will develop a land transportation center that will feature multi-capital transit hubs, metro housing and high-speed train stations, taxis, bus services and private parking, according to PMO.
This will allow airport unlimited connectivity by road, train and metro, the statement said.
Noida and Delhi will be connected to the airport through the complexity free metro services, as well as nearby main streets and highways such as Yamuna Expressway, Western Peripheral Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and others will be connected to the airport.
The airport will also be associated with a planned high-speed Delhi-Varanasi craft, allowing people to complete travel between Delhi and the airport in just 21 minutes.
The airport will also accommodate advanced MRO services (maintenance, repairs and overhauling), the statement said.
The airport design is focused on low operating costs and smooth and fast transfer process for passengers, he said.
The airport introduced the concept of swing aircraft stands, providing flexibility for airlines to operate aircraft for domestic and international flights from the same contact holder, without having to reposition the plane, the statement said, adding that this would ensure that this would ensure an efficient aircraft turnaround at The airport while ensuring the passenger transfer process is smooth and smooth.
This will be the airport of India’s first Net-zero emissions, PMO said.
This has allocated dedicated land to be developed as a forest park using trees from the project location and Nia will preserve all original species and become positive traits throughout the airport development.
