New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday transferred the first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) to more than 1.47 Lakh receivers from Tripura through video conferencing.
“Today, Tripura and all the northeast witness to change.
The first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) given today, has given a new moral for tripura dreams,” PM Modi said.
With this, more than RS 700 Crore is credited directly to a bank account from the beneficiaries on that occasion.
After the intervention of the prime minister, taking into account the unique geo-climate conditions of Tripura, the definition of ‘Kuccha’ house has been changed specifically for the country, which has enabled a large number of beneficiaries to stay at the ‘Kuccha’ house to get help to build a ‘pucca’ house .
The Minister of Rural Development Union Giriraj Singh and Chief Minister Tripura Biplab Kumar Dev was also present on that occasion.
