New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the athletes were tied to Tokyo with his ‘cheer4india’ message and asked people to support the Indian contingent for the upcoming Olympics.
The Union Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, Kiren Rijju brought to Twitter and recorded a video where PM Modi said, “We will all support our players to Tokyo.
Cheer4India, Cheer4India.” Rijiju posted the official song of Contingent Indian “Lakshya Tera Samne Hai” which was compiled and sung by Mohit Chauhan.

Anthem official Olympic Contingent India by @ _mohitchauaka covers the spirit of our athletes! “A total of 115 Indian athletes have met the requirements so far for the Tokyo Olympics which will begin on July 23 and will last until August 8 this year.
The event was scheduled to be held last year, but was postponed because of the Pandemic Covid-19.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, 117 Indian athletes have met the requirements but could not be better Haul medals from the 2012 London game, which remains the highest medal calculation in India in an Olympic match – six medals.
Indian athletes will hope to break the threshold in Tokyo.
