Patna: Opposition leader at the Tejashwi Assembly Prasad Yadav on Saturday said PM Narendra Modi had to make an announcement for caste-based census in the country from the red fortress on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day on Sunday.
He said Cm Nith Kumar also had to make a declaration of Gandhi Maidan if the center did not pay attention to the country’s request for the caste-based census.
“If it wasn’t a parliament, then from the red fortress, I asked PM Modi to announce the caste-based census in this country for the holistic development of the poor, pressed, backward and very backward (Sic),” Tejashwi tweeted.
He said PM did not give time to nitish for meetings about this problem.
“Because the central government said it was not on the caste census, Nitish had to announce it from state expenditure during his independence day speech at Gandhi Maidan,” Tejashwi added.
Previously on that day, Tejashwi had criticized PM to observe August 14 as ‘Partition Horror Remembrance Day’.
When MediaPereka searched Tejashwi’s comments on the Modi Declaration, he said, “PM was a British follower who ruled the country once.
He believed in the policy of gaps and ruling.”
