New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch ‘Ujjwala 2.0’ (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana-Pmuy) by submitting a LPG connection in Mahaga Regency Uttar Pradesh on August 10 with video conferencing.
According to official release, the Prime Minister will interact with the beneficiaries of Ujwala and will also overcome the nation.
Along with a deposit-free LPG connection, Ujwala 2.0 will provide the first refill and free hotplate for beneficiaries.
Also, registration procedures will require minimal documents.
Ujjwala 2.0, migrants will not be asked to send a ration card or proof of address.
The self-declaration for ‘family declaration’ and as proof of address will be sufficient.
Ujjwala 2.0 will help achieve the vision of the prime minister about universal access to LPG, the Prime Minister’s office said.
“In the UNI budget for the financial year of 2021-2022, the provisions for one additional Crore’s LPG connection under the PMUY scheme are announced.
Another additional PMUY connection (under the Ujjwala 2.0) aims to provide a low-deposited LPG connection to the low family Can be borne under the previous phase of PMUY, “PMO said in the release.
Under Ujjwala 1.0, launched in 2016, the target is set to provide liquid oil (LPG), the connection to five members of a crore woman under the household of poverty (BPL) below.
Furthermore, the scheme was expanded in April 2018 to include women’s beneficiaries of seven other categories (SC / SC / ST, PMAY, Aay, mostly classes backwards, tea park workers, forest residents).
Also, the target was revised into an Eight Crores LPG connection.
