New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone King Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday, his office said.
This will be followed by the address, and he will also visit the exhibition model from the Aligarh code of the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industry corridor and the University, said the Prime Ministerial Office (PMO).
It was said that the University was founded by the state government in the memory and honor of King Mahendra Pratap Singh, a fighter of freedom, education and social reformer.
Universities are being established in areas spread across 92 hectares in Lodha Village and Museem Karem Jaroem from Aligarh’s Koc Tehsil.
This will provide affiliates to 395 division colleges Aligarh, PMO said.
The government’s decision to establish a university after the JAT figure was recorded politically as part of the powerful BJP efforts to win the community ahead of the crucial assembly poll at the beginning of next year.
Sexy JATS, who lived in a fairly large number at Uttar Pradesh West, was seen disadvantaged by BJP for the issue of farmers.
The formation of the defense industry corridor at Uttar Pradesh was announced by PM Modi when inaugurated the investor summit in Lucknow on February 21, 2018.
A total of six nodes – Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Jhansi and Lucknow – had been planned in the corridor, PMO said.
In the aligarh node, the land allocation process has been completed, and the land has been allocated for 19 companies that will invest RS 1,245 crore in the node, he added.
The corridor will help make the country independent in the field of defense production and promote ‘making in India’, he said.
