PM PM Boris Johnson hopes to ‘go up’ omicron wave

LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Wednesday recommended to his cabinet that England did not need to force further locking restrictions because he hoped to “ride” the omicron wave from Covid-19, which reached another daily record with 218,724 infections.
In the first new year’s cabinet meeting, Johnson put his plan to continue with step B steps which included mandatory face cover, working from home where the possibility of a guide and check Covid vaccination certificate for big events.
Johnson also announced plans for 100,000 important workers to undergo a daily test starting January 10 to keep the infection under the check closer and overcome the problem of staff absence that isolated a large scale self.
“When our NHS moves to the war footing, I would recommend the cabinet that we continued plan B,” Johnson said during the Street Downing Briefing on Tuesday night.
“We have the opportunity to ride our omicron wave without turning us off.
The country once again.
We can keep our school and our business open, and we can find a way to live with this virus,” he said.
There is speculation that the requirements for the PCR test confirmation to take a positive lateral flow antigen test can be deleted.
Have reported that health officials have planned to limit PCR tests to those who have symptoms, allowing them asymptomatic – around 40 percent of cases – to return to work faster.
People who test positively on a lateral flow home testing tool still need to isolate for at least seven days.
The British Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has so far required everyone in the UK to take follow-up PCR tests if they accept positive lateral flow results and then calculate their isolation period from the date of PCR results.
“We continue to review the availability of PCR and continue to make more PCR order slots available every day,” said Ukhsa.
There are also reports that must be tested for pre-arrivals for international travelers who come to Engla.
ND can be canceled, with the travel industry urging the government to change because they have no real impact considering the level of omicron transmission that is very high in the community.
A British government spokesman said that they guarded all actions “under the reviews”, added that temporary testing requirements were introduced to “preventing additional omicron cases from entering England, stopping people from publishing them to others if they were infected”.
Meanwhile, British National Health Services (NHS) continues to face additional pressures with up to 12 trusts who have to suspend some less urgent care in the midst of Stafabsence because Covid-19.
“The NHS is under great pressure.
I will not give a definition of what is overwhelmed will be considered because I think that various trustees and places are different, at different times, will feel at least for the temporary citizenship,” Recognizing Boris Johnson, when Asked about pressure.
Repeating his message for people to advance for vaccines, the British Prime Minister warned that it would be a “absolute stupidity” to say the pandemic ended even though it seems that Omicron “clear lighter” than other variants.
“Seeing the pressure on the NHS in the next few weeks and maybe longer, see the number of people who go to the hospital, it will be an absolute stupidity to say that this has ended now the bar shouted,” he said.
“We must remain careful, we must remain with plan B, we must be encouraged,” he added.
According to the latest UK data, the fewer people were treated in an intensive care unit (ICU) with Omicron than the previous variant and most of the hospitals with Covid-19 did not have a dose of a booster vaccine.
