New Delhi: In a show of Bonhomie, Prime Minister Narendra Modi walked to the opposition bench to chat with leaders on Tuesday after the presentation of the budget.
After congratulating Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman to present the fourth consecutive budget, Modi was seen interacting with the leader of the Trinamool Congress Sudeep Bandyopadhyay and Saugata Roy at home wells, after Lok Sabha was postponed for that day.
Roy said he asked PM to remember the Governor of West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankar, who was involved in public agriculture with the Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee.
PM also warmly welcomed the leader of the Adhir Congress Ranjan Chowdhury and was seen shaking hands with former King’s telecommunications minister.
He was also seen exchanging greetings with former Minister of Law and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah, members of DMK Dayanidhi Maran and RSP members n K Premachandran.
YSRCP Krishna Devarayulu Lavu member, Independent Member Navneet Rana also looks greeting PM.
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi had walked out of Lok Sabha as soon as the budget presentation.
Modi also looks engrossed in chat with Congressman Kodikunnil Suresh from Kerala and Francisco Sardinha from Goa.
Sardinha said PM asked about the function of the Goa Liberation Day held in December, where he was among several participants from Congress.
Calling a “friendly and progressive friendly budget”, PM later said it had brought new trust to the development in the midst of the most terrible disaster in 100 years, a reference pandemic.
In his remarks on the television, Modi said that this budget would create many new opportunities for ordinary people, in addition to strengthening the economy.
“This budget is full of new possibilities for further infrastructure, more investment, more growth, and more work,” said Prime Minister, added that it would also open the field of green work.
