PANIJI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Goa people on September 18 to congratulate them to inoculate all populations that qualify with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, said Minister of Pramod Sawant’s head on Wednesday.
The program details will be announced on Thursday, Sawant told reporters.
“PM Modi will interact with members of the Country Cabinet, Health Officials, District collectors, Panchayat members and beneficiaries of vaccination programs.
He will congratulate them for cense cense coverage from the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine,” he said.
The state has set a target to cover all the populations that meet the requirements with both doses on October 31 this year, cm added.
He said that Tika Utsav 3.2 will begin in the state of September 16 and so on.
“If everyone participates, we will be able to complete the second dose vaccination for the entire population,” he said.
Sawant said that in accordance with the data of the central government, there were 11.66 lakh people who were eligible for vaccinations in Goa, but so far 11.88 lakh people have been vaccinated with the first dose in the state, which amounts to 102 percent coverage.
These beneficiaries include tourists and migrant populations, he said.
According to him, 5.2 lakh people have been given a second dose, which amounts to 43 percent of all eligible populations.
“There are 1.70 lakh people who are due to the second vaccine this week.
If they take Jab, it will take the second area of ​​JAB to 60 percent,” he said.
