New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Sansad TV on September 15 along with Venkaiiah Naidu vice president and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Sansad TV was completed by the six member committee after a two-year process to billiard resources, rationalized costs and reduced extra expenses about the coverage of the parliamentary process by implementing the merging of Lok Sabha and Rajya television Sabha.
To be led by retired civil servants Ravi Capoor, which was appointed as his chief executive for one year from March 2021, Sansad TV is likely to have two operational platforms that will free the direct process of Sabha and Rajha Sabha when the parliament is in the session.
However, during the intersection period, according to the recommendations of the Committee, Sansad TV is likely to operate as a single entity that eliminates most of the same content, but is available in Hindi and English.
Joint efforts will provide rich and varied synergy content, while focusing on problems that do not find adequate encouragement on other platforms, officials said.
In addition to moving RSTV offices to the Sabha’s secretariat property, the Sansad TV Administration is also expected to shift to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla through the Secretariat of Lok Sabha.
Integration of assets and labor can also cause some downsizing.
While the Committee has recommended that the Sansad TV that is combined with a collection of resources 225 to 250 people – RSTV currently has 250 personnel when LSTV has around 110 staff – there is extensive consensus that around 50 contract employees can be released during merging.
