PM to put the foundation stone of the Bharat Dynamics’ RS 400 Crore project on November 19 in Jhansi

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the plant under the Bharat Dynamics, which will be set up to Rs 400 crore to create a propulsion system for anti-tank missile, Jhansi on 19 November, Defense Secretary Ajay Kumar said on Monday.
In addition, on the last day of ‘Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv’, the PM will deliver a platform of defense of native advanced as attack helicopters lightweight (LCH) to the Indian Air Force, the drone of the Indian Army and advanced electronic warfare suite for destroyers, aircraft carriers and frigates for the Indian Navy, Kumar noted.
Various initiatives and other schemes will be launched or dedicated to the nation for three days ‘Parv’ in Jhansi which will celebrate the 193 anniversary of Rani Laxmi Bai.
LCH has been designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
It was the only attack helicopter in the world that can land and take off at an altitude of 5,000 meters with a considerable burden weapons and fuel, Kumar said at a press conference here.
Drone, which will be handed over to the Army, has been designed and developed by the Indian company start-ups, he said.
Also, warfare suite has been designed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and produced by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), PSU defense, Kumar added.
The Defense Ministry will also launch a national program to improve simulation training facility for all three wings – Army, Navy and the Air National Cadet Corps (NCC).
Army Wing NCC has a rifle simulator time will be increased to 98, said Kumar.
The microlight fly the simulator will be increased from six to 98 for the air wing of the NCC, he said.
Rowing simulators for the Navy wing of NCC will be increased from 10 to 61, he said.
A new setup and structure for Sainik schools will also be dedicated to the nation in Rashtra Raksha Samarpan Parv, he said.
Union Cabinet recently approved the setting up of 100 Sainik schools across the country.
These 100 schools will be established in the next two years, said Kumar.
While schools will be established by private educational institutions, NGOs and state governments, the Union government will provide assistance to 50 per student per cent by paying 50 percent of their costs, Kumar noted.
This election 50 percent of students will be done in achievement-cum-means, he added.
For the first time, Sainik schools will also have the option to allow the scholars of the day with early morning to late night timings so that they can take part in a full day of academic activities and extra-curricular activities, he said.
Until now, schools have a student board Sainik on their hostels.
Kumar said the NCC Alumni Association will also be launched by the prime minister in Jhansi.
Modi, a former NCC cadets, will be the first member of this association, he added.
Following up the statement of PM on August 15th, 2020, that the NCC will be expanded in border and coastal areas of the country, 1,283 schools and colleges were identified of which 896 are in the border area, 255 in coastal areas, and 132 in taluks Air Force Station housing, he said , Since Covid not allow physical training, NCC cadets theoretical component delivered through online media in schools and colleges, he added.
Wherever schools and universities have opened, physical training was also delivered, he said.
Implementation of this scheme for the last one year will be exhibited as part of a three-day event in Jhansi, he added.
Kumar said that 1,034 hectares of land have been allowed on the node Jhansi UP Defense Industry Corridor.
Bharat Dynamics Limited, a Defense PSU, will set up a factory to produce propulsion system for anti-tank missile at node Jhansi, he said.
This plant will be spread over 183 acres of land and will involve an investment of Rs 400 crore, he said.
In addition, this plan will provide direct employment to 150 people and indirect employment of nearly 500 people, he said.
Project foundation stone will be laid by the Prime Minister on November 19, he said.
PM on November 19, will officially dedicate two electronic kiosks at the National War Memorial in Delhi which will allow visitors to register their presence and gave a virtual tribute to the heroes who died, he said.
Modi will also launch a mobile application that will give you a virtual tour of the National War Memorial with a 360-degree experience, he said.
