Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer Rs 4,720 Crore to 2.36 Crore Farmers of Pradesh under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PMKSNY) on Monday.
The development marks the outreach of fresh farmers from BJP dispensation ahead of the assembly selection due to next year.
A spokesman for the state government said that Rs 2,000 will be given to every farmer for August, September, October and November.
Dana will be immediately transferred to a bank account from the beneficiaries.
“The center and state government work with full enthusiasm to double the income of farmers,” he said.
Under the scheme, around 18 farmers have been given Rs 32,500 Crore.
This includes farmers who have received funds for the first time and also those who have accepted it for eight consecutive times.
Installment Monday is ninth.
Likewise, more than 2 crore farmers are associated with the Pradhan Mantri Phasal Bima Yojana and the compensation of RS 2,208 Crore has been given to more than 25.6 farmers under this scheme.
A spokesman said that the Yogi government always worked for the welfare of farmers in the state unlike the previous government.
For the first time, around 434 lakh metric tons of foodgrain had obtained by the government and more than RS 78,000 Crore had been paid to 78,23,357 farmers.
According to the state government, RS 3.58 Lakh Crore plants have been distributed among farmers.
The government has also released a loan of RS 36,000 Crore from 86 Lakh small and marginal farmers.
