New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday Virtual was transferred around Rs 19,500 Crore to more than 9.75 Crore Farmers under the government PM-Kisan scheme.
With this, the government has so far transferred nine installments of Rs 1.57 lakh crore to a farmer’s family under the Pradhan scheme of Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan).
After the release of the number, the Prime Minister interacts with the beneficiaries of this scheme from all over the country.
Annual financial benefits of RS 6,000 are given to families of beneficiaries who meet the requirements, paid in three four month installments of RS 2,000, below the scheme of PM-Kisan.
This scheme was announced in February 2019 in the budget.
The first installment was the period of December 2018-March 2019.
The fund was transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
Overcoming virtual events in the presence of Prime Minister, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that before the ninth installments, the central government had distributed around Rs 1.37 lakh crore to around 11 crore receivers under the scheme.
The government has connected 2.28 Crore PM-Kisan benefits with the luxury credit card scheme, where they can use loans of up to 2.32 lakh crore so far.
He also said the farmers had worked hard even though there was a challenge of Covid-19 and ensured the production of the bumper last year.
Better output is expected in the coming days due to sustainable farmers’ efforts.
Expressing concern will be a shortage of oil and edible pulses, Tomar said the government focused on increasing domestic production through several schemes so that the state dependence on the import of the State Minister for the Kailash Choudhary and Shobha Karandlaje agriculture, as well as Agricultural Secretary Sanjay Aggarwal was between the Minister of State and the State Minister and the official Present at the event.
