Gorakhpur: The newly built AIIMS and fertilizer factory in Gorakhpur will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October this year, Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister announced during a visit to the city on Wednesday.
CM inaugurated 75 projects worth Rs 40.72 Crore and put the foundation stone for 48 other projects worth RS 39.54 Crore in Gorakhpur District.
Projects launched by cm on Wednesday will benefit areas such as rural Gorakhpur, Pipaich, Sahjanwa, Bansgaon, etc.
Focusing on the development priority of its government, CM said that in the tourism sector, development was not only old streets but also old temples.
“Development is an important component that encourages economic growth, increasing infrastructure, and increasing the living standards of the people.
This will help make India Mandiri,” he said.
He said that it was important to use funds for the right project and that the government did not leave the stone missed to ensure the development of every city and village in the state.
CM further emphasizes the need to complete the project on time because the delay will always lead to a cost increase which is a waste of public funds.
“Even when the whole world is struggling with a Covid-19 pandemic, the work continues all projects in Gorakhpur because of that we can launch many of them today.
The government ensures that while saving lives during a pandemic, it also does not allow livelihoods to be affected,” he said , CM thanked the monitoring committee for their work, and said that the government had recognized their hard work in ensuring that people in the countryside were safe from Covid-19 infection.
Encouraging people to vaccinate, he said that the pandemic had taken the lives of many people and someone could not take a pandemic lightly.
Until the virus is around, he said, a strict Covid protocol must be followed.
CM also talked about the two new schemes introduced by the government for the welfare of children with Piandemi orphans and women who had become widows because of the virus.
He said that the government would provide Rs 4,000 a month for children who had lost their parents to pandemics and would take care of their education and live until they become independent.
“Our government also works towards the welfare of women who have lost their husbands because of Covid-19.
Camps will be arranged to register women like that and give them retirement.
They will also work based on their skills so they can become independent,” he said.
