Mew Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the first quad leader summit in Washington on September 24, 2021, spokesman MEA Arindam Bagchi on Thursday.
Sharing iternary, Bagchi further said, on September 25, PM will discuss the UN general debate about the UN General Assembly in the 76th session.
While PM was in Washington, he will also hold a bilateral meeting with President Biden, he added.
This will be the first in-person meeting between the two leaders since Biden assumes the office earlier this year, even though they have interacted on virtual events and talks on the phone several times.
“We also look forward to bilateral meetings with other quad leaders and bilateral meetings with several other leaders when he was in New York on September 25,” Arindam Bagchi said.
Prime Minister will join Biden and Australian and Japanese colleagues, Scott Morrison and Yoshihide Suga, for the Summit of the Quad leader at the White House in Washington on September 24 – six months after their first virtual summit was held on March 12.
