New Delhi: In the outreach of the major tribes to mark the first “Janjatiya Gaurav Diva”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Congress of the Bhopal attack – without mentioning the party – said the tribal welfare had been ignored and the role of the tribal community in the striplical struggle was rejected the importance they got with the previous government office.
It stated that the government made tribal welfare as a priority, the Prime Minister said, “The contribution of the tribal community was not said to the country, and even if it was told, very limited information was given” by those in the power before.

Last week at the cabinet meeting chaired by Modi, the central government decided to observe the icon of tribe and anti-colonial warriors Birsa Munda Munda as “Janjiatya Gaurav Divas” every year to celebrate the history and culture of the tribal.
Overcoming a big meeting in Bhopal, PM said, “For the first time in the country after independence, on a large scale, the culture of the tribal arts of the entire country, their contribution to the movement of the freedom and development of the nation was remembered and respected proudly.” Previously on that day , PM inaugurated the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Fighting Museum Freedom in Ranchi.
Overcoming the audience virtually, PM also remembered the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee highlighted the final role in the formation of the Jharkhand State in 1999 and during his tenure, the Ministry of Training Affairs was carved.
PM added that as part of the celebration to mark 75 years of independence.
Efforts are made to revive the stories and history of the icon of the tribal rejected recognition that they deserve some decades passed.
During his speech in Bhopal, PM confirmed that by not providing important tribal communities, “the government had previously committed crime” and “this problem must be collected again and again”.
“Discussion about this must happen on each platform,” Modi said.
He said that the state tribal area was always rich in terms of wealth and resources.
But “those in the previous government, followed the policy of exploiting these areas.
We followed the policy to utilize the potential of these areas correctly,” he said.
Giving an example of how tribes are being prevalued through the welfare scheme, PM talks about work done in aspirational districts which include tribal areas.
“Today, products by tribal parts craftsmen are being promoted nationally and globally.
More than 90 forest products are given a minimum support price compared to 8-10 previous plants.
More than 150 medical colleges have been approved for these districts.
