PMC: Activists, the OPPN opposed the lease of the convenience room

Pune: Civil activists and opposition parties have opposed plan Pune Municipal Corporation to rent the convenience room to the private sector to develop it.
The room will be given a rent for a period of 30 years.
Proposals on the same thing have been submitted before the committee remains.
BJP-LED Municipal Corporation has claimed that this proposal is intended for income generation.
However, the idea has not dropped well with opposition parties and activists who have suppressed delayed civil tax recovery, rather than providing public places to the private sector.
“The Civic administration has many sources of income, which has not been used for their full capacity and officials must focus on them,” said Vivek Velankar from ALAG Nagrik Manche, a group of citizens.
“These places are public and they should not be seen as a source of income generators,” said Vaishali Patekar from Aundh Vikas Mandal, a group of other citizens.
“Our party does not support this step.
The spaces must be used for civil facilities,” said Aba Bagul, Congress leader at PMC.
“We want to build a consensus of all parties about this policy, so the last call has been detained.
The decision will be taken at the next meeting,” said Hemant Rasane, Chair of the Committee.
