Pune: 23 newly joined villages will be attached to eight Ward offices from Pune Municipal Corporation for administrative coordination.
The office has been chosen based on the location of the village.
“The nearby neighborhood office has been chosen for each village to reduce the hassle of residents in achieving there,” said a senior official Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
The villages joined away from the PMC headquarters in Shivajinagar.
Residents of these regions will be able to make civil related works in the Ward office, claiming citizenship officials.
Environmental offices work as an expanded wing of citizenship administration.
Many of them have resident facilitation centers.
The work is related to paying property taxes, getting a water tanker, birth certificate and death, and marriage registration can be done there.
In addition, various city permits, including approval for building plans, can be obtained from this environment office.
“The power to make administrative decisions has been transferred to PMC from Gram Panchayats.
The workforce in civil administration will increase to handle extra work from these villages,” said a senior official.
