‘PMC contractual payment release

Pune: The Republic of India has demanded that the maturity payment of contractual workers Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) must be released immediately.
The party has given a memorandum for civil administration.
“About 4,000 staff members do not get their salary.
They work through contractors.
Payments for the past four months have not been given to them.
Complaints to senior officials have been made, but even then, the salary is not given,” said Siddharth Dhende, a Corporator of RPI.
These workers are attached to Nagar Road, Yerwada area and other environmental offices.
They work based on contracts in departments such as health, solid waste management, establishment and other civil offices.
Civic’s body has now planned to tie a new contractor for the process.
According to the UNI PMC employees, staff members do not get payments due to contractual formalities.
In accordance with civil administration, staff are categorized into two main categories – skilled and unskilled workers.
Skilled workers get Rs 22,000 per month, while unskilled workers get Rs 19,000 per month.
The contract was signed for 11 months.
In accordance with PMC officials, the legal issues raised in the appointment of the contractor have delayed the process.
The company, which has received a contract, has decided to retreat now.
