Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation has increased the quota of both to 90% due to a slow response to the first dose vaccination against Covid-19.
Now, 90 of the 100 doses will be provided for the second dose recipient in each designated free vaccination site.
Previously, the second dose quota was 60%.
Immunization officials of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Suryakant Devkar, told TII, “We shift our focus on the recipient waiting for their second dose.
More than seven beneficiaries of the Lakh will be eligible from the limit of Pune Civic this month and more Will join the list in December.
“According to Devkar, there has been a slowdown in responding to daily vaccination in recent days.
With the ongoing celebration season, the authorities are ready to swim further.
Citizenship officials said they had achieved 100% first dose vaccination in terms of target figures, but there is still a possibility that some bags in the remaining urban areas are not vaccinated because of the floating population.
“We have asked our neighborhood officers to identify and make residents in such areas,” said Devkar.
Sanjay Deshmukh, assistant director of state public health services, said the next target for them was to reach 70% double vaccination at the end of November for Pune District, which currently stands around 54%, and 100% of the first dose vaccination, which is around 95% now .
