Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation on Thursday issued orders, asking officers / staff and visitors in the government, semi-government, private and industrial companies in his jurisdiction to wear face masks in place.
The Civic body instructed the head of the office in these places to appoint an officer to ensure that the instructions were followed by diligently.
The order of civil heads, Vikram Kumar, stated that the appointed officers will monitor the use of masks by employees and visitors.
It has also instructed the head of the office in the company to ensure that all employees completed both the covid vaccine dose.
In other commands issued ahead of the Diwali festival, civil administration urged residents to avoid crowding, use facial cover while visiting the market and following social blasphemy norms.
It urges senior citizens and children not to step out in crowded places.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) came a day after the state government issued an advisor for Diwali celebrations.
The corporation asked citizens to follow the orders of the state government, including holding a health camp instead of cultural events and using cultural programs such as online chisel online and on social media platforms.
PMC orders will apply in Pune and Khadki Cantonment jurisdiction too.
