Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started the drive of Covid-19 vaccination specifically at home for residents of bed.
Citizens who qualify will be given a free Covaxin shot.
Officials say patients who are bound in bed, who live in housing communities or individual homes, can obtain vaccines after previous intimacy and submission of medical documents needed.
Importantly, relatives of a recipient must ensure the presence of a family doctor during the period of post-jab 30 minutes, which is mandatory.
Individual family members lie in bed must send PMC recipient names, addresses, contact numbers, reasons for lying in bed, doctor’s certificate and approval letter from family members.
“All this information can be sent to our email address – bedridddenvaccination.pune@gmail.com.
We will examine documents and give family members of the date and time to vaccinate the doorway.
Our vaccination will manage Jab.
But the recipient’s relatives must ensure that there are family doctors Present for post-jab 30 minutes monitoring, “said Suryakant Devkar, Head of PMC immunization.
Civic’s body has vaccinated the population of old houses and maintenance facilities for more than two months now.

“The aim is to expand vaccination benefits to everyone.
Special drives will include this segment,” said Pune Mayor Muralidhar Mohol.
A PCMC official said, “We have the application ‘Jababdar’ (I am responsible) for residents who want to register someone with special needs for vaccination.
