Pune: Civil health officials have intensified the door vaccination of senior citizens who meet the requirements living in old-age homes and assisted living centers in the area of Pune for a dose of booster / precautions.
“Senior citizens who meet those who live in old age homes, who have completed the nine-month gap needed from the second dose, are being offered a dose of reinforcement / prevention through the door threshold initiative.
The drive has been intensified to include maximum care home prisoners in the next few days With a preventive dose, “said Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Health Officer.
The response to the dose of preventive measures remains low in the Pune area so far.
As on Tuesday (January 25), a total of 1,08,578 people were looking for a dose of preventive measures in the district.
The number of beneficiaries that qualified for prevention doses in the district is 7.55 lakh.
As many as 36,160 people in the Pune district received their Covid shot on Tuesday.
Today’s vaccination numbers include adolescents and doses of preventive measures given to health care workers and front lines, and senior citizens above the age of 60, who have completed nine months of the second dose.
With this, the District Administration has provided 1,64,97,058 doses since the Covid Bulk inoculation drive began on January 16 last year.
