PUNE: The civic government is currently conducting a comprehensive technical questionnaire and analyzing a variety of alternatives to improve water source from Lohegaon-Porwal Road and Sathe Wasti region. The dilemma of water distribution was discussed through a joint meeting of the civic government and local MLA Sunil Tingre. The alternatives discussed were supply of a recession well at the region, laying of pipeline and setup of boosters for supply of water in the region. Tingre stated,”We’ve indicated various options to the government to improve water source. The inhabitants are facing water shortage. Therefore, we need the police to operate on the suggestion at first.” Porwal Road, Sathe wasti and adjoining regions have seen growth in population as several home complexes have now come in the past couple of decades. The inhabitants have stated that the region was lacking water supply regardless of the taxpayers paying taxes into the civic body. The residents are spending less on water tankers to bring water. Tingre stated,”There are a few issues of interest to the gradient and water pipeline system. Some regions are merged in town limits a couple of decades back. Water supply system in these regions will need to be reinforced. We’ve requested the police to conduct a questionnaire and simplify field visits to obtain a suitable solution. We’re also assessing if more suggestions may be pushed forward throughout the 24X7 water distribution job and Bhama Askhed project” Anirudh Pavaskar, mind of the Pune Municipal Corporation’s water distribution department, stated,”The government will learn more about the alternatives for supply of breakout nicely, pipeline and draining water . The government is assessing how Bhama Askhed water could be provided. The poll will help assess the feasibility of alternatives,” he added.
