Islamabad: The President of the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has ruled out the return of the former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, from England with the country until the “full recovery”.
Shehbaz Sharif’s statement came a few days after Nawaz Sharif’s request for an extension in his visit visa had been rejected by the British government.
According to publication, the six-month visit visa Nawaz has expired, after that he has submitted a request with the British headquarters to give him an extension of health reasons.
However, the immigration department denied the request.
In a statement issued on Friday, Shehbaz, opposition leader in the National Assembly, said that the Imran government had allowed Nawaz Sharif to leave Pakistan for treatment based on the government’s own medical council report.
“Inhumanity to do politics on the health of the prime minister three times.
The government engine bent after slandering Nawaz Sharif because of his politics, which produced a bad name for the country,” Dawn said quoted him.
About his brother returned to the country, Shehbaz said, “Nawaz Sharif will only return to Pakistan when he fully recovered and the doctor in London allows him to travel (returned to the country).” He added that he could legally stay in England until the decision was appealed about the visa extension.
In 2018, the Mohammad Arshad Malik accountability court judge had punished Nawaz in the reference to the Al-Azizia steel factory (ASCL) and reference to Bukit Metal (HME) and gave him seven years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs 1.5 billion and $ 25 million.
In 2019, after Nawaz was said by his doctor to suffer from complex heart disease and disruption of the immune system which resulted in very low platelet counts, the sentence in the reference to Al-Azizia was suspended by the two strongest IHC leaders of Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, during Eight weeks on medical fields, report Geo News.
Since November 2019, Nawaz has lived in London after he was allowed to leave the country for medical care.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Pakistan for the interior, Sheikh Rasheed, said that the passport of Nawaz, a passport of the diplomat because he became a former prime minister, has ended on February 16 and that he was “no longer Pakistan”, Geo News reported.
The interior minister said that Nawaz could not travel anywhere with Pakistani passports that expired.
“If Nawaz Sharif wants to come to Pakistan, he can get a passport within 24 hours,” he added.
Rasheed said the embassy could only issue a passport to return to Pakistan.
He further stated that Pakistan had tried to bring Nawaz back briefly but could not do it.
However, a spokesman for PML-N, Marriyum Aurangzeb, has said that the British House Department stated in their response that Nawaz could appeal the decision with the Immigration Court, reported Geo news.
Therefore he said Nawaz’s lawyer has appealed with a court, which includes his medical record.
Marriyum stated that until the court made a decision, the house department order would remain ineffective.
