PMLA case: Anil Deshmukh appears before ED
Written by news2in

Mumbai: Former Minister of Home Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh on Monday appeared in front of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in their office in the Ballard Estate area in connection with the case of PMLA against him.
Officials Ed said that the agency would record a statement of 71-year-old NCP leader under the prevention of money laundering law (PMLA) in connection with a criminal investigation conducted in the alleged RS 100 Crore-Cum-Cum-rabbelette in the establishment of Maharashtra Police which led to resignation self deshmukh in April.
Deshmukh has missed at least four calls issued by Ed in this case but after the Bombay High Court last week refused to cancel these calls, it appeared in front of the agency.
The ED case against Deshmukh, who was previously a minister at home in the MVA government, and the others came after the CBI posted him in a corruption case related to allegations of bribery made by former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Bir Singh.
