Pune: The Covid-19 daily case fell to a 16-month low of 181 in the Metropolitan Pune region on Monday, with areas under Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Corporations Municipal, as well as rural parts, reported less than 100 cases each Behind fewer tests.
The PMC area added 55 new cases on Monday, while the PCMC limit added 44 and rural areas recorded 79.
A total of 444 patients were dismissed in PMR in the last 24 hours, with a rural part that reported the recovery of 248 – the highest in the area for that day.
A total of 11,144 samples were tested in the region on Monday, a drop of almost 6,500 rather than the calculation of Saturday’s testing of 17,664.
A total of 4,579 samples were examined in the Pimpri Chinchwad area, while 3,533 tests were held in the PMC area and only 2,998 in the rural areas, a report released by Bhagwan Pawar District Health Officer stated.
The area has so far checked more than 81.81 lakh samples for infection.
Five more patients died of Covid in the region on Monday.
One death was reported in the PMC limit, two in the PCMC area and two other patients died in rural areas.
The active kasel in the region fell to 3,356 on Monday night, including 1,628 patients in house isolation.
