Pune: The number of Daily Covid-19 cases reached a new height of 16,618 in the Metropolitan Pune (PMR) region on Friday amid a decline in testing tally, which fell to 39,853 after staying above 41,000 over the past two days.
Among new cases, Pune City area continued to report a maximum case (8,301), followed by the Pimpri Chinchwad area (5,182) and rural areas and Cantonese (3,135).
A report by Health Officer Bhagwan Pawar stated that the calculation of patients who actively reached 85,277 on Friday night, including 82,491 (96.7%) patients in house isolation and the remaining 2,786 underwent treatment in various hospitals.
Health officials said patients in house isolation continue to remain above 95% of the total active calculation in the region for the past week.
Daily recovery in this region also rose to five digits on Friday.
A total of 10,177 patients were declared cured on PMR on Friday, which included 5,480 from the PMC limit, 2,566 from the PCMC boundary and 2,131 from rural areas and Cantonese.
The day’s front level reached 41% in PMR, the data showed.
The region recorded 10 deaths again due to Covid-related complications on Friday.
While four patients died within the PMC limit, two died in the PCMC and six in rural areas and Cantonese.
The progressive calculation of the death area increased to 19,343 on Friday night.
As for the Omicron case, 144 people were found to be infected with new variants in the district on Friday.
In the midst of increasing cases, health officials urge people to comply with the appropriate behavior of Covid to maintain infection in the Gulf and complete their two doses on time.
“The mask is here to stay for some time now,” said an official.
