Pune: A total of 206 people recovered from Covid-19 in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Tuesday, compared with 282 positive testing of infections here in the last 24 hours.
This has pushed the number of active Covid cases in PMR to more than 2,000.
With this, Kaseload PMR has increased above 11.63 lakh, while his recovery has risen above 11.41 lakh, stating the Covid-19 daily report issued by the district administration.
Two more patients gave up on infection on PMR on Tuesday, took the death toll to 19,239 so far.
With everyday cases that go beyond recovery, the act of active cases in this region increased to 2,053.
This includes 1,524 in house isolation and 529 undergoing treatment in various hospitals in the region.
The Pune City area recorded 171 cases in the last 24 hours, followed by Pimpri Chinchwad City (59) and rural areas (32).
Other areas in PMR such as the council, each Cantonments recorded 13 and seven cases.
Among recovery, the PMC area recorded 91, followed by rural areas (58) and PCMC (46) limits.
The number of recovery in the board area stands in two and nine in Canton.
Rural areas, councils and Cantonese did not register any death because Covid-19 on Tuesday.
The PMC area and PCMC each saw one death due to infection on Tuesday.
According to mortality reports, comorbidity such as high blood pressure, diabetes, respiratory problems and heart problems also play a role in causing death together with Covid-19 infection.
Given the omicron variant, health officials appeal to citizens to comply with the appropriate behavior of Covid.
“People must keep social distance and use face masks when roaming.
People must avoid out unnecessary,” said a health official.
