Pune: The number of people recovered from Covid-19 (14,407) continued to exceed new cases (8,094) for the third consecutive day in the Pune Metropolitan area on Thursday.
With this, the progressive count of Covid patients in PMR has increased above 13.81 lakh, while the total recovery has reached 12.76 lakh.
The death toll in PMR increased to 19,417 on Thursday, with the addition of 11 deaths in the last 24 hours, showing the Covid-19 daily report issued by the district administration.
Among new cases, the PMC area added 4,136 new cases, followed by the PCMC limit (2,386) and rural areas (1,206).
Other areas in this region, including councils and Cantonese, each add 276 and 90 cases.
The recovery of the day, the PMC area recorded 7,410, while PCMC and rural areas each reported 4,092 and 2,103 respectively.
Recovery in the board established in 703, followed by the Cantonment area (99).
The PMC area recorded five deaths, followed by PCMC (3) limits, councils (2) and rural areas (1) on Thursday.
The total active case at PMR reached 85,629 on Thursday, including 82,821 patients in house isolation and 2,808 patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
According to a report of death, comorbidity such as diabetes also plays a role in causing death, along with Covid-19 infection.
