Pointed Rustic: Rookies Roar in several Bihar districts

Patna: The election of Pancrayat which is ongoing in the state has several interesting anecdots.
People from various layers of society, including MGREGA workers, MBA Passouts and Pension DSP have been chosen as representatives of the people at the grassroots level.
For example, Rekha Devi, who recently worked as a MGNREGA worker, was chosen as Mukhiya from Sahora Panchayat under the Aliganj block in Maois – Jamui District.
He won with 437 votes by beating his five rivals.
“I will plan a plan to lift daily bets and poor people,” said Rekha.
Retired DSP, Ram Parshuram, elected Mukhiya from Bhaisahi Pokharia Panchayat in West Chamberan District.
Before plunging into politics, RAM was actively involved in social activities after retiring from services.
A passout MBA from the famous Institute, Arvind Kumar Mahto, elected Mukhiya from Mushari Sonuwalia Panchayat in the West Chamaran district.
He defeated former Mukhiya Shravan Ram.
Savita Jha, the mother of the 2018-batch Sagar Jha batch officer, elected Mukhiya from Chainpur Panchayat in Saharsa District.
Savita’s father-in-law, Chandra Mohan Jha, previously served as Mukhiya from Chainpur Panchayat for more than three decades.
Her husband Mihir Jha is a public servant.
Arun Kumar, who did voluntary retirement from the service, had thrown his election hat from Singhwahini Panchayat in the Sitamarhi district.
Kumar is a husband Jaiswal, who has received several awards for his pioneering role in the development of Singhwahini Panchayat as Mukhiya.
Then he joined RJD.
