Jaipur: A police sub-inspector Rajasthan was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1.45 lakh in the Ajmer District, officials said.
Allegations of intermediaries who took bribes from the complainant on behalf of the accused of being also arrested, said an ACB official.
Si posted as a Station House Officer (SHO) from Rupangarh.
Sho has demanded a bribery of RS 5 Lakh through allegations of intermediaries, Rohit Sharma, from a complainant because he did not take action against him in a case that nested against him, said Director General of Rajasthan ACB BL Soni.
After verifying complaints, the trap was placed and the defendant was held together with an intermediary while taking a number of bribes of Rs 1.45 lakh.
They have been arrested under the prevention of corruption laws, said Senior ACB officials.
