Police arrested four with 11kg marijuana

Thiruvananthapuram: In a big catch, rural district police on Thursday night arrested four people from the limit of the Chiraykezezhu police station with 11 kilograms of marijuana.
The police identified the defendant as patientath, 42, from Nalumukku, Sofin, 28, from Vilavoorkal, Aneesh, 31, from Karakulam and Vipin, 28, from Ullour.
Their arrests were recorded at the Chiraykezezhu police station.
The police said the arrap was made by shared inspections by narcotics cells under the rural police and police Chirayinkezhu.
The officers were checking the vehicle in Pergarazhi as part of Vigil when the gang landed in their custody in two cars.
The gang had bought marijuana from Tamil Nadu and smuggled it across the border and would distribute it among local vendors when the police gave them to stop to check their vehicles.
The police have also confiscated the two cars where they transport marijuana.
