Thiruvananthapuram: A driver with an online taxi aggregator company was stabbed to death in his rented house in Chackai on Monday.
He was found dead in a pool of blood in the kitchen during early morning.
The deceased is Sampath (40).
The police were told by the private hospital staff after a man, seemed to be injured by slash wounds, making him claim there.
The staff became suspicious that the man might have been involved in a fight.
The police chose the tip and learned that the injured man was involved in murder.
The police learned that the man had legs and they intensified the patrol.
The police also knew that the injured man came down at the hospital in the car.
An eyewitness recorded the number of cars for suspicion.
The accomplice will then return to examine his friend at the hospital from where he was arrested.
Sajad and Sanal Mohammad were defendants in this case.
The police said that one of them hided a grudge against Sampath since he thought that Sampath was merely in case of marijuana.
Sanal was arrested for peddling marijuana in Attingal in 2020.
The police recovered two knives from the crime scene.
They understood that the sajad and sanal came with the pretext of talking to Sampath and immediately tried to kill him.
He first stabbed on his neck in the bedroom and was pursued to the kitchen.
There, stamped stabbed in the neck, throat, and face repeatedly.
Sampath bled to death in the kitchen.
Sampath has lived in a rented house for the past five years.
