Police asked the bar owner to change the ‘informant’

Nagpur: City police, to overcome the increasing cases of attacks, have taken innovative steps and asked the owner of bars, liquor stores, and the domestic liquor of the state to remind the police about thugs and and criminals created a commotion.
Zonal DCP Vinita S, along with the conscious police staff, visited several bars, liquor stores, and Hooch Dens to warn them actions if they failed to tell the police about every anti-social element that visited their place.
Senior Inspector Vinod Choudhury, who accompanied DCP on foot patrol from Gaddigodam to Goa Colony, said the move was made to be carried out to curb attack cases.
“Some cases of attacks near bars and liquor stores have occurred before.
We have now told the bars and owners of liquor stores to tell the police before each incident occurred,” he said, adding bars and liquor stores was also told to follow the norms Covid.
“Seven people were withdrawn because they did not wear a mask during the patrol.
The place of residence of the four hard-core thugs was examined and the actions were initiated against traffic violators,” he said.
