Nashik / Aurangabad: Bandh called Malegaon and Nanded to protest the violence recently in Tripura took a hard turn on Friday when the stones were thrown into several shops and police personnel.
In Malegaon, more than a dozen people were injured, including 10 police officers.
Two police personnel have been hospitalized for care but the condition is stable, the local police said.
The police have arrested four people in connection with the incident so far.
In Nanded, eight police officers – ASP, Inspector, and six police officers – injured.
At least three vehicles were damaged in throwing stones, while the two wheels were burned.
Police Malegaon said that a large number of bandh supporters returned after filing a memorandum to the local government.
When they reached the new bus area in the city of textiles, they saw several open shops and began throwing stones to the outlet.
Dig (Range of Nashik) B G Shekhar Patil told Tii that the police had a hard time carrying a situation under control when the group continued to throw stones on the police.
“The police must use a lightweight Lathi charge to bring the situation under control.
There is tension in the area about one hour.
The situation is now under control,” said Patil.
Nashik SAm Sachin Patil said the protesters threw stones into a building with shops in the basement and a hospital on the first and second floor.
Some hospital windows are damaged.

SP Nanded SP Pramodkumar Shewale told Tii that after giving Memorandum to Tehsildar around 3pm, the meeting had begun to dissolve when several members tried to go to the district collector’s office by passing the mixed areas but was stopped by the police and officers.
As a result, they began to throw stones, hurt the police.
The suspects had been booked at the Itwara Police Station on charges of murder efforts, using criminal powers to prevent government employees from carrying out official duties, riots and assemblies that violate the law.
The injured officer included ASP Nilesh More and Inspector of the Itwara Police Office Sahebrao Narwada, while one police officer suffered broken legs.
