Bhubaneswar: Mahila Police Station in Bhubaneswar Detained by Sudhansu Rout, News Portal Editor, on Friday on charges of publishing ‘slander & objections’ against the famous Sprinter Dutee Chand on the Tokyo Olympics recently concluded.
“We have refrained from being interrogated after registering the case against him.
Dutee submitted a complaint that the editor slandered him by publishing articles that slandered him before his appearance at the Tokyo Olympics.
His costs are being verified,” said Deputy Commissioner of the Uma Police Shankar Dash to Tii.
Dutee said the police had to arrest him and produce it in court.
“I have also filed a complaint against the other two, including other journalists and a social activist.
The article slandered the row and allegations of social activists against me on social media encouraged me into stress and influenced my performance at the Olympics,” Dutee said.
