Patna: Five people, including the initial accusation, had been arrested for allegedly killing a 14-year-old girl, whose body was found from the land filled with water on the outskirts of Rupnarayanpur Karnuti Village below the Mahnar police station in Vaishali in September.

Those who were arrested were identified as Dashrath Manja (28), Yadunath Rai (25) and Dashrath’s relative Salwa Devi (35) from Karnuti and Representatives of Paswan (27) and Gautam Sahni (22) from Bande Village under the Patori Police Station area in Samastipur.
They were sent to prison on Tuesday.
The victim’s mother had submitted a kidnapping case against unidentified people on September 14.
The girl left the house with a bicycle around 4 in the morning to attend the training class at Patori in the Samastipur district, bordering Mahnar.
Vaishali SP Maneesh told this newspaper by telephone that the girl’s cycle and her school bag was recovered on the confession of the person arrested.
Maneesh said Dashrath was intended to rape the girl and trace her four colleagues.
He said the medical board, in the postmortem report, denied rape.
“Dashrath and three others intercepted the girl outside the village between 4am and 4:30 a.m.
on September 14.
His body recovered the next morning,” SP said.
Maneesh said Dashrath and the others strangled the girl empty-handed when he began to shout.
He said Dashrath told his colleagues that he wanted to kill the girl.
