Kolkata: Police Commissioner Kolkata Vineet Goyal has tested a positive Covid, Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee announced on Thursday while urging people to wear a mask to prevent the spread of rapid viruses.
About 52 fresh covid cases were reported in city police forces on Thursday.
Goyal has isolated him on Monday.
On Thursday, he continued to work from home and held an important conference with the Behala division, taking public legal stock and order and crime situation.

At present there are 225 active cases.
Overall, 235 police have been infected in the third wave with 23 who need hospitalization.
