Police Crack Whip On Erring Cops

Rajkot: Traffic Police Rajkot on Thursday broke the whip on the police and other employees from the police department who had not paid a fine of e-memo released for them.
Also, a drive was launched to punish traffic violations carried out by the Police Department employees.
On the first day of the drive, the traffic police examined the vehicle at the Commissioner of the police station on Thursday.
Police issued 29 spot scraps for various violations such as cars with films and black vehicles with luxury number plate.
The traffic department collected a fine of Rs 13,200 from police mistakes during the drive.
The traffic department with the help of the camera was installed at the traffic lights under the ‘eye project’ problem to violate the perpetrators of e-memo.
The majority of violators did not bother about e-memo and were revealed that most police also did not pay a fine released against them.
Commissioner of Police Manoj Agarwal requested such police actions.
Many vehicles, owned by police, which e-memo is waiting, found at the police commissioner’s premise.
The fine of RS 29,700 was collected from them.
Traffic police found ten vehicles with e-memo memo parked inside the place but the owner was not found.
These vehicles are withdrawn and will be released after payment of Penalty.
VR Malhotra, Assistant Commissioner of Police (traffic), said: “We want to give an example that no one, even the police, are on the law.
We will first collect Penalty from the police and then asked general citizens to follow the traffic rules.
This drive will continue at all police stations from Friday.
