Hyderabad: Punjagutta police solve the case of jewelry theft and recover RS1 Crore worth of property from two perpetrators.
The main defendant Ghulab aka Ghulab Mali, is an employee of a gold trader based in Mumbai.
Ghulab committed a crime with the help of his colleague Pravin Kumar (31) from Rajasthan.
On August 26, Punjagutta police received Zero FIR registered at the Saifabad police based on complaints from Sravan Kumar Gehlot, owner of Ranjua Jewelers at Zaveri Bazar, Mumbai.
Sravan accused 2.1 kilos of gold jewelry, his employees Ghulab Mali brought to Hyderabad, stolen by unidentified people on August 24 on a private travel bus.
During the initial investigation, the police found that Ghulab and Sravan relatively Mukhesh often brought gold jewelry from Mumbai to Hyderabad to display them to various local jewelry.
Likewise on August 23 nights, they boarded a private bus trip in Mumbai and when they reached Ameerpet on August 24 morning, Ghulab said Mukhesh was that his jewelry bag was lost, said Hyderabad Commissioner Anjani Kumar.
Mukhesh immediately told Sravan and the latter reached Hyderabadto filed a complaint of the police.
After the case was registered, Punjagutta police took Ghulab to detention to interrogation of the employer’s doubts disclosed to him.
“Ghulab admitted that he lost around RS40 Lakh in the gold trade business and decided to kill the loss theft cover,” Commissioner with AR Srinivas said.
