New Delhi: Delhi Police have opposed Plea Bail former student leader Jawaharlal Nehru (JNU) Umar Khalid, arrested under the activity of violating the law (prevention) acting in the case of the conspiracy of the Northeast Delhi riots, said it would show the ‘prime facie’ case against ‘ Prima facie him.
In the Replying to Khalid Guarantee Application, Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) Alok Kumar said the prosecution would show the case of the prime facie against him before the court by referring to the accusation sheet filed in this case.
“The application has no achievement as it will be disclosed and demonstrated before this court by referring to the accusation sheet and therefore prosecution does not try to submit a detailed reply to the application,” Kumar added in a reply on July 26.
It also shows that this case was related to the “greater conspiracy” registered on March 6, 2020, and that of the 21 people arrested in this case, the police had Chargesheeted 18, including Khalid.
Additional session Judge Amitabh Rawat will hear the argument about Plea Bail Khalid on August 7 at 12 noon.
In particular, he was given guarantees in other cases related to riots earlier this year.
Khalid, together with several other people, has been ordered under the strict law of anti-terror law in this case.
They were accused of being “mastermind” from violence February 2020, who had left 53 dead and more than 700 injured.
In addition to him, Jamia Millia Islamia Asif Student Iqbal Tanha, JNU Natasha Narwal students and Devangana Kalita, members of the Jamia Safoora Zargar Coordination Committee, former members of the AAP Council Tahir Hussain and several others have also been ordered under strict law in this case.
Recently, the Delhi High Court has provided guarantees to land, narwal, and Kalita in this case, saying the country blurs the line between the right to protest and terrorist activity in anxiety to reduce differences.
