Udupi: The Malpe police have arrested a copy, which appeared for the written exam held for the position of armed police, and three other mediators from Beleagavi recently.
According to the police, Ismail Appasaheb Nadaf, 24, from Mudalagi in the Bethobavi, appears for the exam on behalf of Praveen Koth at the English Medium School Rosario, Kallianpur Santhekattee, on October 18, 2020.
However, Koth has emerged for physical tests and medical examinations held at 19 December 2020, and January 13, 2020, in Dharwad.
The imitation was revealed when a thumbs up the impression of the candidate, who wrote the exam, and Koth did not match.
Duo shows were sent to experts in Bengaluru for analysis.
Based on their report, a case was registered at the Malpe Police Station.
Police arrested Hanumantha Meistry, 30, from Gokak, Appayya up, 29, from Mudalagi, and Holeppa Muthyappa Bhagewadi, 28 of the Batalagavi.
They were allegedly involved in other cases reported from other districts.
NADAF is also a candidate who prepares competitive exams and needs money.
So the mediators choose it to become a copy, the source said.
Koth has obtained anticipatory guarantee.
