Patna: State Police Headquarters on Friday night released comparative data after a study based on the national crime record bureau and claimed that the crime graph in the country has declined this year compared to 2019.
It also claimed a massive decline in crime on the road and bank dakoity by comparing banks Last year’s figures with 2005.
Headquarters highlighted that the average national crime incident per Lakh population was 487.8 years ago while the average Bihar was 211.3.
He said Bihar was 25 among other countries and the United States at the overall crime rate last year.
In accordance with release, 2910 murder cases are registered in the state from January to November 2019 compared to ‘only’ 2607 cases such as those registered in the same period of time this year.
Overall 353 Dacoity cases were registered in 2019 (January to November) compared to 239 cases this year.
Overall 1694 controlling cases were reported this year compared to 2399 in 2019 (January to November).
Forty-two kidnappings for the ransom case were registered in 2019 while the numbers fell to 34 in the period according to this year.
In women’s crimes, the national average is 56.5 cases per lakh population in 2020, according to NCRB, while the average Bihar is 26.3 and in 29th place.
Under the SC / SC Law (Prevention of Attrocitas), the police headquarters said the national average for 2020 was 25 cases per lakh population while the average Bihar was 44.5.
The state police claimed a decline of 38.8% in the case of road robbery by comparing the figures in 2005 (224 cases) with 2020 (137 cases).
In 2005, 26 cases of bank dakoities were reported compared to 12 cases last year, featuring a decline of 53.8%.
The police headquarters did not provide comparative data for January to November 2019 and 2021 for crimes against women, under SC / ST Act, Road and Bank Dacoity.
From January to November 2019, 1375 rape cases were reported, compared to 1338 cases in the period according to this year.
It was said that 6797 cases of riots were reported from January to November 2019 against 5801 cases this year.
It claimed a steady decline in the crime rate in this head since 2019.
