Rajkot: Police Kutch arrested two people to deceive people in various parts of Gujarat by promising them to help get government jobs in various departments.
The two men claimed to have deceived four people to Rs 28 lakh in the past.
These people also triggered documents to win their victims’ confidence.
A young man based in Gandhidham Rushiraj Raval has approached Gandhidham a division police station with a complaint that he was promised to clear the electric assistant engineer exam and after that he would get government work.
The accusation has demanded Rs 20 Lakh in return to help him get a government job where Raval pays Rs 10 lakh.
The police based on this complaint using human sources and technical supervision found Parmar Ramesh (56), a resident of Ahmedabad and Rajesh Thakor (36), a resident of Mehsana.
They claimed to cheat people under the guidance of one Bharat Trivedi, a large capital city of Gandhinagar.
According to the police accused of interrogation, claiming to have deceived various people with the same modus operandi.
Rajendra Patel of Mehsana was cheated by Rs 5 Lakh promising to get a job as an education officer.
Pachan Jadav of Surendrangar was deceived by Rs 8 Lakh for getting a job in Banas Dairy and Dhiren Trivedi, a Ahmedabad citizen was cheated by Rs 5 Lakh by promising to get a job at the Metro Train project as a junior scientist.
The defendant also forged a call letter and other documents to win the victim’s confidence.
