Police letter aims to reach every internet user

Letter: Lecture at a rise of nearly 300% in cybercrime cases registered, city police have so far reached more than 20 individual lakh through the drive throughout the month – Cyber ​​Sanjivani – to create awareness about online fraud.
With the aim of making every internet user aware of the threat of cybercrime, the police have so far carried out workshops in 400 schools and colleges.
“Prevention is the key to stopping Cybercrime.

We have also traced the leaders of the diamond and textile industry for encouragement,” said Police Commissioner Ajay Tomar.
Apart from students, employees around 100 diamond units and textiles are also made aware of the threat of cyber lurking.
In the last phase of the campaign, the police are now doing workshops in schools, colleges and housing communities.
“We do workshops about potential threats, the general method of cybercrime and precautions.
Apart from school, various specific groups of industries and housing communities are also being intended through workshops,” said a Gohil, assistant commissioner of the police.
Until now 6 lakh visitors have accumulated the details of the cybercrime from www.cybersanjivani.org and more than 1.50 lakh have appeared for online tests.
This test allows internet users to avoid cybercrime traps.
In the police workshop illustrate how a person can be financially deceived or intimidated in the cyber world.
Simple steps to protect social media profiles are also explained.
