Mangaluru: City police coordinated with Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, introduced the Tulu Language Learning Program throughout the month for its personnel on Thursday.
Because most of the staff come from outside the coastal district, the City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar feels the need to introduce courses, because knowing local languages ​​will help in the implementation of effective law and order, and do daily tasks.
Shashi Kumar told the media that Komisisisan had worked for more than a decade, and during recruitment, most of the personnel chosen came from other districts.
Senior officers also suggest that it is important for staff to know local languages, because it will help in collecting information and resolve crime.

The public also stated that they wanted police personnel to speak in Tulu.
Given all these factors, the a month’s Tulu learning workshop was launched.
Karnataka President Tulu Sahitya Academy Dairananda G Kathalsar has convinced support by providing teachers.
About 50 personnel from 16 districts, including Vijayapura, Bataghagavi and Haveri have registered for this course.
Class will be done for three hours every day.
“Because the police worked with people in the region, it was important to understand local languages.
The students registered for the course will be given a certificate of settlement of the course,” he added.
