Police Nashik sent a proposal to suspend 700 DL

Nashik: Nashik City Police have sent a proposal to the Regional Transportation Office (RTO) to suspend more than 700 driving licenses (DLS) from two-wheeled riders who do not wear helmets when buying gasoline in the city.
Starting August 15 this year, Nashik City Police have applied the rules ‘without gasoline, no helmets’.
Thus, bikers without helmets should not be sold fuel at the gas station.
However, if a motorcyclist is willing to fill out the form provided by the police and quoting the reason why he does not wear a safety head cover, he can be sold gasoline.
In the form provided by the police, bikers without helmets must mention details such as names, addresses, telephones and vehicle registration numbers, etc.
And give the reason why he doesn’t wear a helmet.
The shape was then sent to the traffic police, which called the motorcyclist in question and verified why he did not wear a helmet.
If the police found that the reasons of the biker mentioned in the form were not original, a proposal was sent to RTO to cancel the DL.
So far, the police have sent a proposal to cancel more than 700 DL to Nashik RTO.
Police Commissioner Deepak Pandey said that soon the bandobast police officer – who had been deployed at the gas station to ensure that there was no argument between gas station staff and bikers for the use of helmets – will be removed.
However, the police will continue to maintain the vigil and order bikers without a helmet.
At present, a massive police journey is ongoing where motorists without helmets are being stopped and taken to the Children’s Traffic and Counseling Education Park.
The bikers returned their vehicles only after they attended counseling sessions.
